Charlean Dawn Cole
Charlean was born on September the 28th in 1965, in Union Springs, Alabama. Charlean
has lived in Troy, Alabama and the surrounding areas almost all of her life.She attended
the local private school in Troy called Pike Liberal Arts until her junior year in
which she then transferred to the local public school, Charles Henderson High School.
She is currently attending Troy State University located here in Troy Alabama. In
all of her years in school she has always participated in some form of talent shows
as well as various choirs.
She accepted Jesus as her personal savior on February
the 27th in 1980. She was fifteen and it was in her school library at Pike Liberal
Arts. She has stayed grounded in the Word since then. Charlean attends church regularly
and enjoys being heavily involved in different activities in the church. During one
activity, she had the privilege of having her younger brother Brent Newman attend
the youth rally in which that night he came to accept Jesus as his personal savior!
She recalls that was the best feeling to know that her own little brother accepted
Jesus due to her working for the Lord. Sort of like how Andrew must have felt when
he lead Peter to Jesus.
Charlean was called into full time music ministry
while attending a Ray Boltz concert. During the concert the Holy Spirit made it clear
that this was what Jesus wanted her to do on a full time basis! The months after
that she was constantly being asked to sing in the area churches. Thankfully she
was given some down time by the Lord in order for her to get to know him on a more
personal level, as well as to begin to prepare in the spiritual for things to happen
in the natural. All of that down time was exactly what she needed, although she had
a tendency to become bored at times.
She spends her free time reading and
studying the Bible, as well as practicing and some exercising here and there. She
tends to call the fitness center the "torture center" as you can see that
is not here favorite place to be. She is currently a sr. in college although
she likes studying her school work about as much as she likes exercising. She would
much rather sit in a swing and get into the Word. As for any favorites of hers, she
prefers the KJV over any other translation. She says she hopes
that the Lord will give her a song that will touch the hearts of many people.
The Lord has already given her quite a lot, she believes He has given her more than
what she deserves. He gave her the vision for CDC Ministries, which is a non-profit
Ministry for the Furtherance of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Charlean wants
to make it clear that she has not and will not ever take a cent from CDC Ministries,
and that ALL of the proceeds go to the furtherance of the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus.
She has never compromised the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in the past, and she
never will in the future.
